Stephen, who has been making a name for himself recently, is
definitely on top of my list for 2016. Not only is he incredibly talented, he
is equally as diverse as talented. You might have heard about Stephen, or
Stephen Swartz as he went by, back in 2012 when he dropped his signature track
“Bullet Train” that has over 2.6 million plays on his Sound Cloud page.
Obviously the track took off and never stopped growing, but it seemed that
Stephen had gone missing. The music world, including myself, had been confused
and starving for more tracks from the genius mind behind Bullet Train until
late 2015. Stephen went off for a couple years to develop himself as a musician
and decide which path he wanted to take in the industry, and I for one and very
glad he did. Stephen, who plays almost every instrument, produces and now
provides his own vocals on his tracks, woke the world back up when he put out
his first track since Bullet Train titled, “Remembering Myself”. It was clear
that Stephen was moving away from the EDM sounding music towards a more
alternative/indie sound but keeping a very refreshing feel to it that wowed me.
He is such a diverse musician I could play that song over and over with out
getting sick of it. Stephen then made his way across social media with a viral
cover of Adele’s “Hello”, which is debatably better than the original (link
below). I would definitely check out Stephen's Sound Cloud page linked below if you haven’t already and I wouldn’t
be surprised if you see him on your favorite summer festival lineup for 2016.
